[Acting like he's gonna pop up again any second makes her feel better. Advising people about Angel is a balancing act between his right to experience this place like a normal inmate on his own terms and her need to stick her nose in his life all the time. She doesn't always pull it off.]

Uh, he's more... personally difficult than anything else? Like not one of your murder spree inmates. He's not into violence for fun or as a first solution. He'll generally either blow you off with the bitchy screen queen act or get touchy fast if he doesn't know you. Or want to fuck you, which, well, you're not a dude, so. He was working on the redemption thing at home, so he started off a little closer to the finish line than some, but he also knows exactly how to be a dick about it.

[He might mind her sharing some of that, or he might toast her. Or toast her and then throw the drink at her. Depends on the day he's having.]

['Personally difficult' doesn't bother Tendi too much. Some of her best friends are 'personally difficult'.]

Well... I know I'm not his permanent warden, so I wasn't planning on pushing the redemption thing too hard. I just want to make sure he has someone he can come to if he needs anything, and someone who will check in with him and make sure things are okay. Which- I guess maybe he doesn't need that one as much as some people here do.

He talks a big game about not caring, but he was at it more than six months before he even got here. I'm not too worried about the redemption thing, honestly.

If things get dangerous again, how worried do I need to be? Once he's awake again, I mean.

[Can Angel handle himself, or is he lacking in either fighting prowess or powers at the moment? Tendi will prioritize him, regardless, while they're paired, but it's useful intel.]

He's a good shot, and not gonna hesitate if it comes to it. He wanted me to talk to the admiral about getting him armed again, but I didn't get to it before he went out, and I'd want him to at least sit in on any negotiations even if he can't make them himself.

Huh. I might get back to you on that. I'm working on a defensive weapon option for inmates who don't have other means to protect themselves, but, um, don't spread that around? I'm going to talk to the Admiral about it.

Not that you shouldn't work on it from your end, too! Just... as a backup.

Sounds like a good plan? But I don't know if you'd interest him in anything but the guns he's used to. He doesn't exactly exude maturity or anything, but he's been dead long enough to be pretty set in his ways. Even if they died young, old sinners get as cranky as old mortals.

I'm... not really comfortable handing out lethal weapons to someone I haven't even met yet? Not that I don't believe you! I just want him to have some option for protecting himself while we work the rest out. ...What kind of gun is he used to?

[She knows what a gun is, in general, but has almost no context for ancient Earth weaponry.]

Fair enough, just don't get your hopes up he'll be enthusiastic, even if your solution's a good one.

[She'd be lying if she said this girl's vibes weren't just a little... Charlie, and while that sometimes does work on Angel, he also loves being a brat about enthusiastic help.]

I'm not super into guns. The ones he keeps around at home have long barrels and can spit a lot of bullets, but that's about all I could tell you.

I'll see what I can do. It's okay if he's not enthusiastic, I mean he doesn't even know I exist. I just want him to be... at least a little safer than he is now. Everyone here deserves that, if they can't already defend themselves better than a stun phaser can.

Don't get too hung up on it. He's a mean sonofabitch when he wants to be. But, you know, good thinking. This place is usually a lot quieter than home, but when it's not...
